NEWS | Dons sign Ben Cockayne

The Dons have signed the experienced Ben Cockayne for the remainder of the 2021 campaign.

Cockayne made his name with the Dons in 2005, and in his sole season with the club scored 17 tries in 22 appearances - which led to a move to Hull Kingston Rovers.

He played more than 200 times for the Robins across two spells, before departing for York City Knights in 2018.

The 38-year-old helped the Knights to win the Betfred League One title in his first season, before departing a year later.

His experience could prove valuable for Richard Horne after the recent injury suffered by Misi Taulapapa.
