NEWS | Tali pleased to score in 100th game

Centre Jason Tali spoke to the local media after he marked his 100th game for the Dons with a try in the win over London Skolars at the Keepmoat Stadium.

On reaching such a milestone at the club

“It was nice to cap off a special day for me with a win, especially at home and in front of all the Dons fans.

“To receive a shirt from the chief executive before the game was really nice, it’s a really physical sport so to reach 100 games is a big one for me.

“It’s a really good club and I really enjoy working with everyone here. Carl has done a lot for me and my family so I’m always keen to repay that.”

On the timing of his try

“We needed it, they got themselves in front early on so to get a try like that just changed things and gave us confidence.

“We showed in the second-half what we’re capable of and we managed to execute perfectly which is what the coach wanted.”

On the Dons’ start to the season

“It’s been a positive start, although we were beaten on the opening day at Keighley we responded well and we’ve found a way to get results.”
