NEWS | Horne ready for Rochdale test

Richard Horne is looking forward to another test for his side as they host Rochdale Hornets on Sunday.
Last weekend’s opening game of the season ended in defeat at Keighley Cougars, and Horne knows there will be another tough challenge at Keepmoat Stadium.
He said: “They’re very big, physical and well drilled so it’ll be another big test for us. We’ve learnt a lot from the weekend, it’s about making sure we’re not making the same mistakes.
“We made it hard for ourselves at times last week, but actually we weren’t a million miles off. The completion rate and ruck tempo was poor, plus we had two sin-binnings and the injury to Watson Boas so everything that could go wrong for us did do."
Horne believes his side will have come on a lot for that game, which was the first outing for most of the players in 14 months.
He added: “We’ve learnt a lot just from that one game which has given us some areas to focus on and improve this weekend.
“It’s all about getting some game time and building that cohesion on the field. We know we have the ability to get points, it’s just tidying up some of the small details that didn’t go right last time.
“We’ll have to take it week by week at the moment with everything that’s going on, just making sure the lads are ready for the weekend and see where that takes us.”
