NEWS | Holdstock signs new Dons deal

Alex Holdstock has agreed a new deal with the Dons for the 2021 campaign.

The 19-year-old signed for the club at the start of last season after impressing while on trial in the build-up to the season starting.

The Hull-born forward made his debut in the Coral Challenge Cup victory over Thornhill Trojans prior to lockdown.

Chief executive Carl Hall said: “Alex showed his ability throughout pre-season last year and deserves the chance to improve at the Dons.

“He is a player who gives his all on the field and does a lot of the work that goes unseen by many people watching.

“Still only 19, he has plenty of time to develop his game further and we hope he can do that here working with head coach Richard Horne.”
