NEWS | Carl Hall pays tribute to Pete Bell

Chief executive Carl Hall has paid tribute to a ‘great man’ as Pete Bell is laid to rest on Thursday.
Pete, who was a well-respected member of the coaching staff for more than 30 years at the Dons, passed away on March 7, and he is already sorely missed by all that knew him.
The coronavirus pandemic means that there will only be a crematorium service due to the restrictions in place, however he will be taken around the Keepmoat Stadium one last time prior to the service.
Carl said: “Pete was one of a kind and the world has lost a truly amazing man, the amount of love following his passing is evidence of that.
“As a close friend of his I will miss having him around and when we can start playing rugby league again we will give him the send-off he deserves and he will be in the players’ minds whenever they step out onto the field.
“Due to the current pandemic the service won’t be structured as initially planned, but I’m sure when the time is right everyone who knew Pete will pay their respects.”
