Doncaster Rugby League climb six places to 17th in 2026 IMG grading

We are pleased to confirm that Doncaster Rugby League has climbed six places to 17th in the 2026 IMG Club Grading.

Our score has risen from 7.85 to 9.21, the second-highest year-on-year gain of any club, and we retain our Grade B status.

Carl Hall, Chief Executive of Doncaster Rugby League, said: "A rise of more than a point in twelve months doesn't happen by accident. It comes from people across this club pulling in the same direction. We know there is a long way still to go, but this score shows we are building the right way, and it gives us a strong platform for 2027."

Last year we said our focus was on improving performance on the field, in the belief that it would drive growth across the club. Under Richard Horne and Chris Plume, the squad has done exactly that. Sunday's defeat to London Broncos in the Grand Final was not the ending we wanted, but reaching it showed how far this group has come.

We also committed to quarterly IMG meetings, and those have kept every department working towards the same goal.
Supporters have seen the difference at Club Doncaster Sports Village, where new LED boards, a big screen and investment in videographers and commentators have improved matchdays and our coverage of them. Our links with local clubs and community groups are stronger too, with that work now led by Jordan Platt as Head of Development.

Terry Bramall and Gavin Baldwin share our ambition of bringing Super League to Doncaster. Their support, year after year, has given us the stability to plan for the long term and has made this progress possible.

For 2027, performance on the field remains our priority, alongside higher targets in every area of IMG reporting. Our goal of becoming a Grade A club has not changed. We are still driving towards Destination Super League.
