Sam Smeaton awarded testimonial

Dons second rower Sam Smeaton has been awarded a testimonial to honour his seventeen years in the game.

Sam’s career started at Featherstone Rovers and included stays at Sheffield Eagles, Batley Bulldogs, Halifax Panthers and York City Knights, before finding his home at the Eco-Power Stadium.

He has made 332 career appearances, 117 of which have been for the Dons.

He spoke recently of his pride of being awarded a testimonial while at his home club and the exciting plans he has for the upcoming year.
