Pre-match: Horne on Gwaze signing and looking ahead to Midlands Hurricanes trip
Dons head coach Richard Horne admitted that differing interpretations of new rucking rules are likely to continue to prove challenging as the season progresses.
This season players are penalised more harshly for play the ball infringements, with the RFL keen to speed up play and pave the way for more attack friendly matches.
Speaking ahead of the trip to Midlands Hurricanes on Sunday in the Betfred Championship, Horne said the match officials the Dons have encountered so far have each enforced the rules differently, which is proving challenging for his players to get used to the change in approach.
But the head coach backed the team to adapt as they seek to continue their impressive start to the 2026 campaign.
