Richard Horne says the priority has needed to be fitness during the Dons’ condensed pre-season programme.

As the restructure of the Betfred Championship has necessitated an earlier start to the 2026 campaign, pre-season has been reduced to less than two months.

And that has meant fitness work has been paramount to ensure the Dons are ready for the rigours of the new season.
