Horne impressed by Misky's stomach for Dons challenge

Richard Horne admits he is impressed by the manner in which Isaac Misky has embraced the challenge ahead for him with the Dons.
While competition for match minutes at hooker has only intensified with the arrival of Connor Jones, Misky has shown no hesitation in signing a new two-year deal with the club.
And head coach Horne believes the move says plenty about the character of the 31-year-old.
“Right from the start, Isaac has known he’ll have it tough next season - as all the hookers will,” Horne said. “We’ve got some really strong competition that’s only increased in a position where we already had real strength.
“But Isaac hasn’t shirked that challenge at all. When we spoke to him about what we wanted to do and what we were offering, he was well up for the challenge and it tells you everything you need to know about him.
“It wasn’t the easiest first year for him at the club. It was his first experience of rugby league in this country and you can’t underestimate the challenge of settling into life in another country as well.
“But he threw himself into it, navigated the tough times and I think it’s made him a stronger player and character. He’ll be better for it next season.
“He’s made it clear that he’s not staying here to just make up the numbers. That sort of attitude is what we want throughout the squad as we look to move to the next level.”
