Dons sign full back Tom Holmes on two-year deal

We are delighted to confirm the signing of full back Tom Holmes on a two-year deal.
The 29-year-old arrives at the Eco-Power Stadium following three years with Bradford Bulls.
Castleford-born Holmes has more than 30 Super League and 100 Championship appearances to his name.
“When Carl [Hall, CEO] messaged me last month I was really keen to meet with him and Rich [Horne, head coach],” Holmes said. “After the conversation with them, I couldn’t wait to get it sorted and I’m excited for the next two years to be at Doncaster.
“Hopefully myself and the other signings can add to the existing group. It’s a great group that the club has got the minute but hopefully together we can help push that one step further.
“I’ll be proud to wear the Doncaster shirt, that’s for sure.”
After starting his career with hometown club Castleford, Holmes had spells with Featherstone Rovers and Huddersfield Giants before joining Bradford in 2023.
Head coach Richard Horne said: “Every time we’ve played against Tom he’s caused us problems and created opportunities.
“When I’ve watched Bradford leading up to our games, he’s had a hand in everything so once I knew he was available, he became one of our top targets.”
