Luke Briscoe commits his future to the Dons

We are delighted to confirm that Luke Briscoe has signed a new two-year deal with the club.

The winger has made more than 40 appearances for the Dons over the last two seasons, scoring 17 tries in the process to help reestablish the club in the Championship.

“It’s good to get it over the line,” Briscoe said of his new deal. “Me and Carl [Hall, CEO] have been in talks around it for a good while and I’m glad to get it done and dusted.

“I’ve really enjoyed the last two years. It’s a good group of lads, a good backroom staff and Carl treats us like his family. You’re very well treated here and I like that sort of stuff.”

Briscoe arrived at the Dons with more than 50 appearances at Super League level on his CV with spells at Leeds Rhinos along with time at Featherstone Rovers.

Head coach Richard Horne said: “We’re really pleased to have Luke here for next season.

“He’s been a big player for us over the last couple of years and he’s exactly what we need as part of the group to help take us to the next level.”
