Dons land Australian hooker Connor Jones

We are delighted to confirm the signing of hooker Connor Jones on a two-year deal.
The Australian has arrived at the Eco-Power Stadium after leaving Featherstone Rovers where he has spent the majority of his time since arriving in England.
Jones becomes the third new arrival ahead of the 2026 campaign, following Muizz Mustapha and Cory Aston in joining the club.
“I’m really excited,” the 29-year-old said. “Meeting with Carl [Hall, CEO] and Rich [Horne, head coach] and listening to the plans they’ve got for Doncaster really excited me.
“While I’ve loved my time at Featherstone over the last five or six years and I hope they get sorted, locking in a couple of years and a bit of security is pleasing for me.
“I’ve always enjoyed coming and playing at Doncaster so I’m really excited to join up with the boys and see how we go next year.”
Jones featured for Emerald Tigers and Northern Pride in his native Queensland before joining Featherstone in 2019.
After a year in Super League with Salford, he returned to Featherstone and amassed more than 130 Championship appearances at Post Office Road. He departed Rovers having scored 86 tries in 152 appearances.
Head coach Richard Horne said: "We were never going to turn down the opportunity to bring in a player of Connor's calibre.
"He's another quality player to add to the group with plenty of experience of what it takes to be successful at this level.
"This is a really good signing for us."
