REPORT | Dons 22 Bradford Bulls 30

The Dons fell to a late defeat in the Betfred Championship as they were beaten by Bradford Bulls at the Eco-Power Stadium.

Richard Horne's side came from behind in the first half to go into the interval on level terms thanks to tries from Luke Briscoe and Edene Gebbie.

Another try from Gebbie, as well as a debut score from Hull FC-loanee Logan-Taylor Moy, put the Dons into the lead, but the Bulls took the points with two late tries.
Horne made one change to the side that started in the convincing victory over London Broncos, as Brad Knowles replaced Will Gardiner in the starting XIII. Moy took his place among the interchanges.
The opening ten minutes of the fixture saw three stoppages for injury in DN4, the first of which saw Bradford's James Donaldson exit the field of play after just two minutes.
And that stop-start nature meant as much meaningful action as you'd expect in the early stages, but the visitors found the breakthrough after 11 minutes.
The Bulls made the most of a penalty and shifted play out to the right, where Waqa Blake charged through to open the scoring and give his side a four-point lead.
Matters got better for Bradford six minutes later as Zac Fulton found a gap to race through the middle and cross just to the right of the posts. Jordan Lilley added the extras.
The Dons stopped the oncoming traffic on 24 minutes when they moved play out to Reece Lyne and then Briscoe, who scored in the right-hand corner.
That gave Horne's men the encouragement to kick on, and they levelled the scores after 32 minutes. Gebbie raced beyond the Bradford line and chased down a kick to ground right in the left-hand corner. Connor Robinson successfully added the extras.
The Dons came close to snatching a half time lead just before the hooter, but the ball bounced out of play, allowing the Bulls to escape with the scores all square at the break.
Bradford went back ahead ten minutes after the restart when a kick was fumbled by the Dons in the goal area, leaving Fulton to ground and secure his brace as well as another four-point lead.
The Dons weren't to be fazed and responded just five minutes later as a bounce fell favourably for Robinson, who then found Craig Hall, who found Gebbie, who broke free down the left wing to retake the lead. Robinson added the extras.
But the visitors were soon in again, as Mitchel Souter scrambled his way to the line to the left of the posts after 59 minutes. Joe Keyes successfully converted.
The pendulum swung the Dons' way again four minutes later when Moy danced his way through on the left and then carried inside to ground behind the posts. Robinson added the extras.
Horne's men were in the driving seat heading into the final ten minutes, but it was the Bulls who had the final say, as Jayden Okunbor and Ebon Scurr ran in two late tries, the latter of which was converted by Keyes, to not only take the lead but pull away from the Dons.
The hosts searched for a way back into the game in the remaining time, but the final hooter sounded to see the Bulls take the two points.
Dons: Hall, Briscoe, Lyne, Hey, Gebbie, Boas, Robinson, Knowles, Burns, Matagi, Smeaton, Jones, McConnell. Interchanges: Misky, Hepi, Moy, Gardiner.
