NEWS | Harvey Horne signs on two-week loan

We are delighted to confirm the signing of winger Harvey Horne on loan from Hull KR.
The 19-year-old has linked up with the Dons squad ahead of Sunday’s trip to Sheffield Eagles, with the loan deal set for an initial two-week period.
Head coach Richard Horne said: “We’re in a situation where we need options at short notice and it’s been a case of looking at who is out there and available. Hull FC have got quite a lot of injuries in their backs so they can’t make anyone available on dual reg right now.
“Harvey is obviously someone I know well, with him being my nephew. I know he’s been training full time with the first team at Rovers so he’s in great condition and looking for an opportunity. This is a great chance for him to play at Championship level and take that next step in his development.
“He’s versatile and that will be big for us. He’s played at wing and full back. He’s got a real calm head and I’m looking forward to seeing what he can do for us.”
Horne graduated from the Hull KR Academy ahead of the 2024 campaign and signed a two-year deal. He switched from full back to wing during his time in the KR youth set-up.
His father Graeme enjoyed a brief spell with the Dons in 2020.
