SIGNING | Andre Savelio joins Doncaster RLFC

Savelio joins the Dons bringing a wealth of Super League experience with him having previously represented St Helens, Castleford Tigers, Warrington Wolves, Hull FC and Huddersfield Giants.

The 29-year-old has just shy of 150 Super League appearances to his name and will look to bring all of that experience in with him at Doncaster as the Dons eye up a playoff push in 2025. 

Savelio comes from rich rugby league stock, born in New Zealand but raised in Warrington, his father and Samoan international Lokeni Savelio has also played at the top level in England. 

The forward has been with the Dons squad in training for several weeks now and is looking forward to hitting the ground running as the Dons return to action ahead of the 2025 campaign. 

Dons head coach Richard Horne said, 'Andre has played at the top level for almost the entirety of his career and we've seen before how players with that experience can impact the rest of the boys. Not only that, he's a big powerful lad that will contribute to both our attacking plays as well as defence.'
