NEWS | Loui McConnell puts pen to paper to sign for two more years

We are delighted to announce that loose forward Loui McConnell has put pen to paper and committed to the Dons for two more years.

McConnell who won the Ellery Hanley Man of Steel in 2023, signed permanently for the Dons in November 2022 after a couple of loan spell has made 65 appearances in the blue and gold scoring 11 tries.

Loui said: “I can’t wait to get back on the field with the boy’s again next season.

“We gave the Championship a really good go last season and we are going to aim even higher again in 2025.”

Head Coach Richard Horne said “Loui is one of those players that will be 7 or 8 out of ten, week in week out.

“He is a vital cog in the way we play and was a priority for us to re-sign going in to next year.”
