INTERVIEW | Connor Robinson looks back on 200th appearance

Dons halfback Connor Robinson couldn't mark his 200th career appearance with a win on Sunday afternoon.

The playmaker, who made his first-grade debut a decade ago for Hull KR in Super League, has become a fan favourite at the Eco-Power Stadium, and a key cog in Richard Horne's wheel over the years. However, Robinson was disappointed with the way Sunday's defeat played out, especially with the Dons having a foothold of the clash for large periods.

Speaking after the clash, Robbo was proud to hit 200 along with fellow Robin academy product Josh Guzdek, but was more interested in righting the wrongs from today rather than soaking in individual pride.

"It's frustrating. It's one that got away from us. We beat ourselves, Bradford didn't beat us. Some calls went against us but we need to keep that effort up. Guzzy and Loui all nearly went over, then it's deflating when they score.

"It's good to hit 200 with Guzzy, he made his debut and I was 18th man that game so it's come full circle. It's a nice achievement but there's plenty more of that to come from me."

Ahead of facing his former team Halifax Panthers next week, Robinson wants the Dons to finish strong as their first year back in the Championship heads into its final weeks. "We have five games left, I hear people saying could they go down, I'm looking in front, we will be fine."
