INTERVIEW | Craig Hall on his match winning cameo
Craig Hall channelled his inner Ollie Watkins on Saturday evening. The Dons super sub was brought on with around six minutes to play against Toulouse but managed to bag the winner just before the hooter and seal a famous win for Doncaster at the Eco-Power
Speaking after the clash, Hall was delighted for the boys who played longer minutes and understood why he wasn’t used as much as normal. However, he claims the man of the moment tag and also threw in some jokes when speaking about the special evening in South Yorkshire.
“Not a bad evening. I won’t be aching in the morning and I get winning pay, it’s fantastic,” Hall joked. “Seriously though it was a fantastic effort from the boys. I didn’t play long but I thought it was tough to take someone off for me. Joe Lovodua didn’t want to come off but I just bided my time and did what I could for the team.
“It was an awesome effort. When I did come on, they scored and I panicked and thought what a great impact for me. But, we got the winner and we showed plenty of commitment. We’ve come from behind again and we play for each other. Look at this result and Fev. We need to do it every week now. We’ve got a tough game next week and we are banged up with injuries. Lads are doing it tough but you can’t knock the character.”
