NEWS | Misi Taulapapa joins Rochdale on loan

Doncaster RLFC’s Misi Taulapapa will join Rochdale Hornets on an initial one-month loan.

Taulapapa heads to Rochdale with a wealth of experience and plenty to offer the Betfred League One outfit.

Dons chief executive Carl Hall said, “We have a great relationship with Andy Mazey over at Rochdale, Misi needs some game time and will be a valuable asset to them during his time there, so the move works for everyone.”

The 42-year-old’s game time has been limited so far this season and the versatile back wants minutes under his belt.

“Over the last couple of seasons I’ve had a few injuries and I had a goal this year to play as many minutes as I can.

“I’ve been in and out a lot this year and I’ve got two wingers ahead of me which I can’t argue with at all.

“I don’t have long left in my career at my age so I need to make the most of it, so I spoke with Rich and asked if I could get a move to get some minutes and stay fit. My priority is to support and be ready for the Dons but to do that I need to be match ready.”

Taulapapa went on to say that the relationship between Doncaster and Rochdale made this move easy and with Rochdale performing well in League One this season he’s up for the challenge that brings.

“I’m a team player and always give everything for my teams, I’m looking forward to getting going now.”

Good luck Misi!
