INTERVIEW | Tom Halliday reacts to Bradford defeat

Doncaster RLFC were defeated 38-4 at the Bartercard Odsal Stadium by a Bradford Bulls side who have found their form in recent weeks.
The Dons only points of the game came from winger Tom Halliday who collected a Connor Robinson kick in the corner to ground under pressure from the Bradford defence.
Halliday has been in and out of the team this season, “You can’t use that as an excuse, you’ve got to continue working hard and be ready when called upon.
I’ve been doing my bits away from training as well to make sure I’m fit and ready when needed.”
The Dons winger continued to discuss the team’s recent run of form, “It’s compounding errors, we’re putting pressure on ourselves and having to defend and defend again for long periods. Boys are then getting tired and that results in more errors and you end up in a vicious downward spiral.”
Bradford started going through the gears in the first period and really made it count, however the second half Doncaster did make more of a game of it, but had left themselves far too much to do.
When asked what was said at half-time, the winger said, “Rich gave it to us how it is, but we shouldn’t be putting ourselves in a position to need a rocket at half-time. We should be doing better and these past couple of weeks it’s not happened.”
Looking ahead to a showdown with Swinton next Saturday, “It’s a game we need to be looking at and saying we need to be putting ourselves in a position to take all the points and that’s what we’ll be looking to do.”
