NEWS | Elliot Hall leaves Doncaster RLFC

Elliot Hall and the Dons have come to a mutual agreement to terminate the full backs contract with immediate effect.

Hall joined Doncaster in August 2022 on loan from Bradford Bulls before signing permanently only months later.

The full back had a promising start to the 2023 campaign but suffered a recurring hamstring injury throughout the season, subsequently requiring surgery in the off season.

Moving into this season Hall has spoken with club media about his work commitments changing dramatically which has effected his ability to balance working life with his rugby.

"Rugby league isn't a game you can play at, if you're not able to commit to it both physically and mentally then you're letting yourself and your teammates down.

"I'm a player that always wants to put my best foot forward but with changes in my working professional life, adapting that around my rugby commitments has proven much more difficult than first anticipated", said Hall.

Hall had been given some time off by Dons head coach Richard Horne for him to try and put plans in place but unfortunately to no avail.

The 26-year-old said, "I want to thank everyone at the club for making the best of my time at Doncaster, I've enjoyed every minute of it but unfortunately the best decision for both the club and myself is for us to part ways."

Everyone at Doncaster RLFC would like to thank Elliot for his time at the club and wish him the best with his future.
