NEWS | Dons and Hull FC announce pathway partnership

Doncaster RLFC & Hull FC are delighted to announce a Pathway Partnership between the two clubs.
The clubs have linked up their junior pathways to provide new and unique development opportunities for all participants aged 12-18. Participants from both clubs will come together to continue their development and be challenged in new learning environments. The clubs will also be running a joint Coach Education programme for all community coaches across Doncaster and Hull.
The Dons will host two joint development sessions this year at the Eco-Power Stadium for the U15 and U16's. Coaching staff will come together to deliver sessions focused on developing core skills before participating in small sided games of Rugby League.
Dons head Of development, Josh Riding said, “This is a fantastic opportunity for our club and our junior players to continue growing and developing as both players and young men. The chance for our Future Dons to learn from the coaches at Hull FC and train/play alongside the outstanding talent Hull produce, is only going to enhance their individual game and the community game in Doncaster.”
Hull FC Player Performance Manager, Richard Tate said, “It’s great that between both clubs we can offer extended development and playing opportunities for more junior players across East & South Yorkshire. We are really looking forward to working with Josh and the team at Doncaster and helping to reignite the relationship between Doncaster RLFC and Hull FC, through both clubs’ shared passion of growing the game and junior development.”
Hull FC’s Head of Academy, Pete Riding said on the Pathway Partnership “This is a fantastic initiative and an opportunity for players within the Doncaster and surrounding areas to get coaching and playing opportunities at all levels within the game. Doncaster are a club that are certainly on the up and have a desire to create their own player pathway. This partnership allows both organisations to share resource and best practice to which will only benefit all players on both pathways”
Dons Chief Executive, Carl Hall said, “Hull FC has a fantastic history of developing young talent and we are really excited about becoming partners. The next step for us as a Championship club is to build youth systems and pathways and this partnership will go a long way in achieving that. Big thanks to Josh, Richard & Pete for setting this up and we look forward to the clubs working together.
