INTERVIEW | Reece Lyne welcomes Wakefield challenge

After spending a decade at Wakefield, Reece Lyne is ready for the challenge they'll bring this Sunday.

The Dons host Wakefield Trinity at the Eco-Power Stadium, Sunday April 7, 3pm after a fixture swap.

Wakefield will have sang the name of Lyne on many occasions but come Sunday the centre will be looking to put in a performance against his old side.

Lyne says he's settling in well to life at Doncaster, "I've had four or five months of pre-season now so plenty of time to work on some combos and get to know the lads.

"The lads, coaching staff and everyone at the club have been really welcoming so it's been easy to enjoy my time here", he said.

No-one in the Dons ranks will know this weekend's opponents quite like Lyne but the 31-year-old said there's been quite a turnover since he left West Yorkshire, "The coaching staff is different, there's been a fair amount of player movement but, looking at their squad they're a full-time team and they're spending their cap so there's threat all over the park."

As always with home fixtures in particular the fans being in full voice can be the difference in moments of big games like this and Lyne went on to say, " The fans are massive and they've been really good the last couple of games and it's great running out knowing the fans are behind you."
