NEWS | Dons appoint new head of development

Doncaster RLFC are delighted to welcome Josh Riding as the club's new head of development.
Josh arrives at the Eco-Power Stadium having previously worked as rugby league development manager for Wakefield Trinity, while also gaining experience working within both academy and scholarship set-ups.
In his role as head of development, he will engage with local community clubs and primary and secondary schools. Josh - a former Scotland U20 coach - will also work on the future Dons Development Programme (ages 12 to 16) and alongside the Doncaster College Development Academy (16+).
“I am delighted to join the Dons at such an exciting period in the club’s history," Josh said.
“Local community engagement is important to us, and I can’t wait to get started.
“We have so many opportunities for young people to get involved with the club from matchday experiences to holiday camps to coach development.
“We also have exciting plans to create a pathway from community rugby to professional rugby, offering development and playing opportunities for our local talent.”
Dons chief executive Carl Hall said: “Josh joins us having gained valuable experience within a Super League environment and this experience will continue to drive our club forward.
“We look forward to Josh continuing the good work already put in place by Martin Rowlands.”
