WATCH | Richard Horne says patience is key ahead of Cornwall RLFC
Horne says confidence has sprung into the group after an impressive display last time out at London Skolars
The Doncaster RLFC head coach said although confidence has sprung back into the camp the Dons aren't getting too carried away knowing that it was an impressive result but against a Skolars side that has failed to register a single win so far this campaign.
Horne ahead of Cornwall:
“There is still improvement required, that's what we've spoken about and we have to keep getting better leading into the playoffs and that's what we'll look to do against Cornwall. We'll be playing a strong team again, one or two additions due to a couple of injuries we're assessing across the rest of the week.”
Horne on being favourites for another two points:
“I think we have to be patient, you can overplay get carried away start offloading when you probably shouldn't that's when errors start creeping in and frustration creeps in and you lose the flow of the game. I spoke to the lads ahead of the London game and made sure we had that composure and didn't try forcing things and I thought we got that along with the right intent.”
Horne on pre-match community events:
“It's great to get the community involved down at the Eco-Power Stadium, kids dream of playing on pitches like that it's a fantastic stadium to play in.”
The Dons host Cornwall RLFC this Sunday, August 20.
