NEWS | Olly Butterworth joins the Dons on loan

The Dons have completed the signing of winger Olly Butterworth on an initial two-week loan from Betfred Championship side York Knights

Butterworth a former Great Britain bobsleigh athlete and paratrooper, arrives to strengthen the options available to head coach Richard Horne.

He also spent time with Betfred Championship side Sheffield Eagles earlier in his career before making the switch to York Knights.

Dons head coach Richard Horne said "Olly adds to the squad depth and gives us an extra body whilst also having qualities that suit us"

Butterworth will be available to go straight into the squad for the Dons next fixture in Betfred League One against Midlands Hurricanes at the Eco-Power Stadium on Sunday, July 23.
