NEWS | Sanderson happy to progress in the cup

Jack Sanderson says the manner of the win over Oldham in the Betfred Challenge Cup made it an even more important victory.
Sanderson scored four tries as the Dons came from 18-0 down to win 28-26 at the Eco-Power Stadium.
On getting through:
“I think we showed some real character, we were kicking ourselves after another slow start but we came together well and got the win.
“We gave ourselves quite a bit to do, but we’ll always back our ability with the level of player we’ve got throughout the dressing room.
“We’ve dug really deep for each other and managed to do enough to book our place in the third round of the Challenge Cup.”
On taking the positives:
“It’s been a while since I’ve had an afternoon like that but it’s always nice to get over, the boys did a lot of the hard work and I just had to finish things off.
“The big games just keep on coming for us and we go away to Rochdale on the back of two wins but needing to improve our performance.
“Rochdale put quite a big score on us at their place last season so we don’t want a repeat of that, and we know the start has to be better.”
