NEWS | Halliday to remain with the Dons

The Dons are delighted to announce that winger Tom Halliday has signed a new one-year contract.

Halliday scored 14 tries in 23 appearances last season, as the Dons reached the Betfred League One play-off final for the second year in a row.

The 26-year-old has an impressive record for the Dons since making his debut in 2019, crossing the line on 32 occasions.

On remaining at the Eco-Power Stadium, Halliday said: “I love being here so it’s a really easy decision to stick around, the facilities are second to none and we have a great group of lads.

“The boys are really close and we’ve got a great team spirit, which is something as a rugby player you want to be a part of.

“We’ve come close in the past couple of years and that shows the progress we’re making, and the aim now is to keep moving forward.”

Halliday joins Sam Smeaton, Jason Tali, Watson Boas, Connor Robinson, Ben Johnston, Greg Burns, Keelan Foster and Jose Kenga as contracted players for 2023, with more announcements due in the following days and weeks.
