NEWS | Dons sign forward Jose Kenga

The Dons are delighted to confirm the signing of prop forward Jose Kenga on a deal until the end of the 2022 campaign.
Kenga has plenty of experience in both the Betfred Championship and League One, and joins from fellow promotion contenders Swinton Lions.
He has also played for the likes of Sheffield Eagles, Dewsbury Rams, Hunslet and Keighley Cougars earlier in his career.
The 27-year-old adds more depth to Richard Horne’s squad with the business end of the season approaching, and signs with the transfer deadline approaching on Friday July 22.
His Dons debut could come against West Wales Raiders at the Eco-Power Stadium on Sunday July 31, where they will go in search of a sixth straight league victory.
Kenga said: “I’m extremely happy to sign for the club. It was a straightforward decision, the club is very ambitious and it’s very clear the direction they are heading in.
“I’m really looking forward to getting started as we are heading towards the business end of the season.
“It’s good to have familiar faces in the side and prior to signing for the club everyone I spoke to had nothing but good words to say.”
Head coach Richard Horne said: “Adding Jose to the squad going into the back end of the season brings us more depth and competition for places.
“He is a really strong carrier of the ball and works hard defensively, which is exactly what we were looking for when recruiting a player for the middle unit.”
