NEWS | Beharrell's pride at points landmark
Matty Beharrell has spoken of his pride after his point-saving heroics against Hunslet also saw him move above Dons chief executive Carl Hall in the club’s all-time points scorer table.
He has now claimed 400 points for the Dons, passing Hall in the club’s top points-scorer records where only six players have earned more for the club.
He said: “I’ve passed the legend and am very proud to do so as well.
“If I can leave half the impression he has on the club I will be a very happy man, and every time I pull that shirt on I will give it my all.”
Beharrell’s last-gasp try and conversion on Sunday rescued a point and stretched the Dons’ unbeaten run to six games.
He said: “It was a great finish and we probably got away with a point if I’m honest.
“It’s a tough place to come and they’ve been playing well so to get a point in the end was a good result for us.”
