NEWS | Dons' resilience pleases Horne

Richard Horne was pleased with the resilience of his side after they dug in to come away from Hunslet with a point.

Matty Beharrell’s last-gasp try and conversion kick ensured the Dons claimed an 18-18 draw in a match where they had looked set to fall to defeat for the first time since the opening day.

Dons coach Horne said: “We’ve come away with a point where we were looking at it as a loss, so credit to them. The boys hung in there right to the end and found a way to come away with something.

“Hunslet will be disappointed as they looked good for the the points, but that’s the beauty of rugby league.”

Horne was pleased with his side’s defence during the match.

He added: “That was one of the positives out of the game, we defended well

“We got done towards the end due to tired bodies because we’d had to do far too much defending in all honesty.”
