NEWS | Hall to lead Combined Nations All Stars

Dons chief executive Carl Hall has been appointed team manager for the Combined Nations All Stars team who will face England at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in June.

Hall has become one of the most popular and long-serving of overseas influences on the British game since he first visited with the Junior Kiwis in 1987.

He initially joined the Dons, the club with whom he remains most closely associated – and where he has been Chief Executive since 2013.

He also played for Hull KR, Leeds Rhinos, Bradford Bulls, Featherstone Rovers and York – and recently completed an 18-month tenure as Vice President of the RFL, working alongside Tony Adams MBE and Clare Balding OBE.

“I’m really excited about this All Stars concept, and I’m delighted to be involved,” said the New Zealander, who will work closely with the Australian coaching team of Tim Sheens and Andrew Henderson.

“I’m proud to represent Doncaster, and also New Zealand – we couldn’t have the Aussies running the show completely!

“But the big thing for me is we have to make this a full-on, meaningful match. We know it’s an important part of England’s build-up for the World Cup, but we’ll be getting a team together to go out there and win – and Shaun Wane wouldn’t want it any other way.”
