NEWS | Hedges ready for Workington test

7th September 2019

Jordie Hedges says he’s looking forward to being back out on the field against Workington this weekend.

The Australian forward is back in the side after missing the win over Keighley, and says he can’t wait to have a say in where the Dons finish in the final league standings.

He said: “I was disappointed to miss the Keighley win but I had to be careful with the injury I had in the game at Oldham.

“Watching the game and not being able to do anything is frustrating but the boys did a good job and got the win.”

A win in Cumbria would secure at least a fifth placed finish for Richard Horne’s side, and Hedges says the squad have prepared well to earn the two points.

He added: “We know what we need to do and that helps us because the boys have focused all week on getting the job done.

“It’s always a tough place to go and the travel is something we will have to overcome, preparation is important and we have to manage ourselves.”
