NEWS | Dons sign Hull KR half-back Potter on loan

The Dons are pleased to announce the loan signing of half-back Jack Potter from Betfred Super League side Hull Kingston Rovers.

The 19-year-old joins on an initial two-week deal, having spent time with Championship outfit Newcastle Thunder recently.

Potter will add competitions in the halves with Ben Johnston and Connor Robinson playing almost every minute of the 2023 campaign so far.

He could go straight into the squad for this weekend’s Betfred Challenge Cup third round tie against Workington Town at the Eco-Power Stadium.

Head coach Richard Horne said: “Jack will come in and add some cover for us. Having had three games we’ve obviously had a couple of bumps and bruises so we may look to rest one or two.

“He’s had a little stint up at Newcastle and experienced the standards there, so we felt it was a good fit to bring him in and add to what we’ve got available.”
