NEWS | Loui McConnell signs permanently with the Dons

The Dons are delighted to announce the permanent signing of forward Loui McConnell on a one-year deal.

McConnell joins from Betfred Championship side Featherstone Rovers having had loan spells with the Dons in each of the past two seasons.

The 22-year-old has made 24 appearances in blue and gold during that time, and his performances in 2022 resulted in him being named as Man of Steel at the end of season awards night.

On signing for the Dons, McConnell said: “I’m really happy to be staying with the Dons on a permanent basis.

“I’ve loved my time here over the past year or so and I’m hungrier than ever to go that extra step and try to win promotion in 2023.”
