Richard Horne was impressed with his side’s ruthless streak in the 72-0 victory over West Wales Raiders.

14 unanswered tries saw the Dons make it back-to-back league wins, and the head coach was pleased with the mentality on show.

He said: “We spoke about how tight the competition is and about the points difference potentially coming into play at some point.

“It can be easy to take your foot off the gas when you get in front, but we didn’t do that and that was the most pleasing thing about the performance.

“I think we probably only had a 10 minute period before half-time where we forced a few passes, which is something we need to improve on.”

With a game against table-toppers next up, Horne is looking forward to the challenge - with the added bonus of having Rangi Chase available for selection.

He added: “We’re going into every game with the mentality of it being a play-off tie, with the aim of getting our mindset right.

“We’ve got a big test coming up against the team at the top, so we know we have to be at the top of our game every week.

“Rangi has been great, he has a big input in what we’re doing and how we want to play which will be a bonus.”
