NEWS | Lawton signs Dons deal

12th April 2019

The Dons have signed 16-year-old outside back Kieron Lawton on a deal until the end of the 2019 season.

Lawton’s father Craig spent 11 years with the Dons as a player, making more than 250 appearances for the club.

Kieron said: “I’m absolutely buzzing to sign, as soon as I got the phonecall I couldn’t believe it so I can’t wait to get started now.

"I’ve been around the boys since the start of pre-season so it will be easy to settle in, I’ve seen how hard they all work and I want to be a part of that.

"Being quite young i’m keen to get some game-time under my belt, I want to make an impression and show what I can do."

As part of the deal, Kieron will be allowed to play on dual-registration for amateur side Toll Bar.
