The Dons extended their winning streak in Betfred League One to nine games with a 36–12 victory at North Wales Crusaders.

Richard Horne made four changes to his starting XIII, as Aaron Jones-Bishop, Connor Bower, Jordie Hedges and Charlie Martin all came into the line-up.

After a close opening to the game, the Dons took the lead after 16 minutes. A 40/20 from Richard Owen put them in a great position, before his pass found Russ Spiers close to the line who barged his way over. Hedges converted for 6-0.

North Wales responded well and had their first try six minutes later, as the ball was worked out to the left where Aled Davies had enough space to cross in the corner. Tommy Johnson converted to level the scores.

Richard Horne’s side regained the lead on the half-hour mark, as Jones-Bishop got a nice offload away for Tali to power his way over.

They went over again three minutes before the break, as Kieran Cross raced clear and provided Owen with the pass to score. Hedges converted for 16-6.

HALF-TIME | North Wales Crusaders 6–16 Doncaster RLFC

The Dons extended their lead within five minutes of the restart, as Jones-Bishop collected the ball close to his own line and had the speed to go the length of the field to score. Hedges added the two.

Points proved hard to come by in the second period, with both sides losing possession after getting into good areas.

The Dons did manage to extend their lead though with 15 minutes remaining, as Sam Doherty collected the ball down the right and cruised over.

Crusaders pulled a try back two minutes later, as back-rower Jack Houghton was afforded time and space to score under the posts. Johnson added the two for 26-12.

The Dons got their sixth try as the game entered its final stages, and Tali was the man to profit as he once again touched down after having too much power for the Crusaders defence.

They added more gloss to the score-line in the final minute, as Charlie Martin got on the end of a pass from Kyle Kesik to dive over.
