Dons ready for tough test this weekend

Richard Horne and Sam Doherty are both expecting a tough match when the Dons travel to Hunslet this weekend.

Both sides will go into the game with plenty of momentum having both scored more than 60 points on the previous weekend. 

Horne said: “At the beginning of the season, we spoke about building. We’re not the finished product yet, we’re still working on one or two things within sessions and the boys are buying into what we’re telling them so as long as they do that we won’t be far off getting results.

“Hunslet have hit a good bit of form. They’ve brought in players that have strengthened them and they’ve built momentum. 

“We’ve looked at them this week and we’ll see how we go.”

Doherty believes that Dons will have to be clinical with their chances when they come. 

He said: “It should be a good game.  

“They’ve been going well, they scored 60 points last weekend, so we’ll have to defend well and then scoring our points when we get our chances.”
