Smeaton completes 30 hour bike ride for charity

Sam Smeaton has completed a 30 hour bike ride to raise money for Rugby League Cares and the Motor Neuron Diseases (MND) Association.

Smeaton, along with several other players from across the game, took on the painful pedalling challenge after feeling inspired by former Leeds Rhinos star Rob Burrow who has recently been diagnosed with MND.

Since his diagnosis, Burrow has been raising awareness of the disease and inspiring everyone across rugby to dig deep and support the work of MND Association.

You can see some updates from the cycle by visiting Smeaton’s Twitter account here and learn more about the work of Rugby League Cares by clicking here.

Smeaton has already breezed past his initial £1,000 target,
but you can still show your support by donating at Just Giving
