Luke Briscoe is confident the Dons’ upward trend will only accelerate in 2026.

The winger has signed a new two-year deal with the club and fully expects the side will build on the progress of recent years.

He said: “The first year that I was here was the first year in the Championship and each year we’ve progressed from that.

“Hopefully we can do it again next year and build on that.

“We just missed out this year with a few games that we lost by just a couple of points - games that we probably should have won so we should have been up there this year.

“Hopefully next year we are up there in the top six or top four at the very least.”
