Doncaster defeat Crusaders

Doncaster remained hot on the heels of Co-operative Championship 1 leaders Barrow following a 41-28 away victory against North Wales Crusaders.

Doncaster notched their eighth victory of the season against the second-from-bottom Crusaders courtesy of two tries apiece from Russ Spires and Craig Fawcett, while Chris Spurr, Paul Cooke and Michael Butterfield also crossed over.

Tom Hodgson kicked six goals while Fawcett added a drop-goal.

The Crusaders managed five tries in reply, with Simon Stevens, Billy Sheen, Andrew Moulsdale, Rob Massam and Adam Clay all crossing the whitewash with Sam Broadbent adding four goals.
