Richard Horne says his side will need to be clinical when they take on Hunslet on Friday night.

The Dons travel to the South Leeds Stadium on the back of three straight wins, and the head coach believes that will help them get off to a good start.

He said: “It’s good to get a couple of wins on the bounce going into a game against a team who are in some really good form.

“We needed the win against Oldham in terms of taking some confidence into facing an opposition who have that in abundance at the moment.

“We will focus on recovery and then have a look at Hunslet and focus on where we feel we can hurt them in our attack.”

A win for the Dons would take them to within two points of Gary Thornton’s side, and Horne says he is looking forward to the challenge.

He added: “It will be good to see how we cope with the challenge because it’s going to be very physical in that middle unit.

“Given the weather conditions it will come down to which team’s kicking game stands up well and who can complete highest.

“When we get in good areas it’s important that we are clinical and post some points, we’ve been good at that recently.”
