Connor Bower believes the Dons have what it takes to overcome Batley Bulldogs on Sunday.

The Dons take on the Championship outfit in the Challenge Cup fifth round, and Bower says a win would be big for belief in the group.

He said: “It’s a good chance to test ourselves, we’re starting to put together some performances as the season progresses.

“We know all about Batley and the quality they have, but we see it as a good opportunity to see where we’re at.

“A win would do a lot for our belief, it’s a really big challenge and it we manage to get a good performance then we’ll be happy.”

The centre is the Dons’ top scorer this season with six tries to his name, and he’s enjoying a regular run in the side.

He added: “I’m happy with my form recently, I’ve got a good run in the side after struggling with a couple of injuries last season.

“I’m still young so I’m developing as a player, if I’m playing well and scoring tries then that can only benefit me.”
