Connor Bower joined the Dons ahead of 2018 after leaving Super League side Hull FC.

The centre made his debut in the league opener against Coventry, before scoring his first two tries in the second-half of the Challenge Cup third round victory over Myton Warriors. He was at the double two weeks later as he crossed twice in the league win against Whitehaven at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Bower suffered a shoulder injury in the home win over Keighley Cougars in June, which ruled him out of action for more than two months. He returned to the starting line-up for the away trip to Coventry in August, which he marked with a try in each half as the Dons secured their fourth win in a row in Betfred League One. The 21-year-old featured off the interchange bench two weeks later in the win at Whitehaven. He replaced the injured Richard Owen and took full advantage has he glided in for a crucial score.

Bower’s final appearance of the season came away at North Wales Crusaders in the penultimate game of the regular season, before a hand injury kept him out of both games against Workington Town.

He finished the season with eight tries in all competitions, and will look to build on that in 2019 after penning a new deal with the club.

Dons 2019 season tickets are now on sale, and can be bought from the Club Doncaster Box Office, on 01302 762576 or at
