Richard Horne says the Dons won’t be taking North Wales Crusaders lightly in Betfred League One this weekend.

Horne’s side won the reverse fixture 28-20 at the Keepmoat Stadium, in a game closer than many predicted.

He said: “They are a very big side, they have some good line speed and caught us out a little bit so we have to be wise to that.

“We have the journey to overcome and the expectation of us winning the game, it’s going to be very physical but we’ll be ready for that.

“Last week was about the two points but I want to really focus on the performance in the game against North Wales.”

A win for the Dons would seal a club record ninth successive win, as well as all but securing a third place finish in the regular season.

He added: “We’ve spoken about it all week and we want to make sure we keep our momentum going, everyone is preparing well and ready to play.

“We’ve broken a few records this year which has been pleasing, to finish where we are from where we were a couple of months back means we have to be happy.

“We had a little sticky patch midway through the season but to get ourselves back into the groove shows how hard the boys have worked.”

Dons 2019 season tickets are now on sale, and can be bought from
