Jack Sanderson is looking to build on his first two tries in a Dons shirt after a double against Whitehaven in Betfred League One.

The Hull FC winger scored in each half of the 44-6 victory, and says he wants to improve his game during his time with the club.

He said: It was my first game of the season so it was nice to score a couple, I want to give my best and keep playing games throughout the season.

"It was more physical than what I've come up against before, they had a big middle unit so I tried to make sure I did the majority of my running out wide.

"We've been working a lot in training on getting the combinations right and playing together well, I'm still getting used to playing with a few of the lads."

Sanderson has worked with Richard Horne since U19 level, and says working under the head coach on a regular basis will mean the Dons fans see the best of him throughout 2018.

He added: "Rich said that this was going to be the biggest test of the season so far and it proved to be that way, we've come through it comfortably and proved we can beat the best teams in this league.

"I've come here to get some game time and get some experience of playing against men, I haven't really had that in my career yet so it will help me to develop.

"I know the coach well so it's been easy for me to settle in, he's coached me for a few years now so he knows where my strengths are and where I need to improve."

Tickets for the Dons' Challenge Cup tie against Newcastle Thunder at the Keepmoat Stadium on Friday March 16 are available from the Club Doncaster Box Office, on 01302 762576 or at
